At Hide Tallow, we stand behind the quality of every product we make — but because our products are natural, topical, and personal-use, there are specific limits around what can and can’t be returned. Please read this policy carefully before ordering.
Our Refund Policy
Returns & Exchanges
We do not accept returns of opened or used products under any circumstance. We also cannot accept returns for scent preferences, texture preferences, skin feel, or general dissatisfaction. Since cosmetic products cannot be verified as “unopened” once received, returns for unused products are not supported either.
The only exception is when there is a clear issue with the product itself, such as receiving the wrong item or an abnormality that indicates a production error. In those cases, reach out within seven days of delivery and we will review and assist.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or appears defective, we require clear photo evidence of both the outer packaging and the product. Once provided, we will open an investigation with the carrier. Replacements are issued only after the carrier completes their review and confirms the claim.
Melted Products
Tallow is a natural fat and may melt in warm climates or during transit, especially in summer months. Melting is normal and does not affect product quality. Your product will resolidify at room temperature. Because this is expected behavior, melted products are not eligible for refunds or replacements.
Lost or Stolen Packages
If a package is marked as delivered but cannot be found, the customer must first contact the carrier and open a missing-package case. We will also open a support ticket on our side. After the carrier finishes their investigation, we can determine next steps based on the official findings. We cannot replace or refund orders marked as delivered unless the investigation supports it.
Wrong Item Received
If you received an incorrect product, contact us with a photo of what arrived. Once verified, we will send the correct item at no cost.
Order Cancellations
Orders can only be cancelled if they have not yet been fulfilled by our 3PL. Because orders typically begin processing quickly, cancellations are not guaranteed. This section will be updated once we finalize specific cut-off times with our fulfillment partner.
Return Shipping Costs
If a return is approved (rare and only in specific cases), Hide Tallow will cover the return shipping cost.
Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method unless otherwise arranged. Processing typically takes between one and three business days once approved.
